You are invited to join Leona. Beginners welcome - even if you've never meditated before feel free to come along.
Starting in the Healthcare Industry, Leona became a Massage Therapist in 2002. She went on to become a Certified Kripalu Yoga Instructor, a Licensed Acupuncturist, and Medical Qigong Instructor. Along the way, she has studied many different forms of body work, become a Certified Health Coach, explored several types of spirituality, studied Transformation Meditation, and earned certifications to teach belly dance and group fitness classes. In 2016, Leona opened her own studio, Vibrant Living Wellness Center, to create a community where people can have fun, get fit, and enjoy the company of like-minded people. Leona recently completed her 500 hour yoga teacher training and is registered with the Yoga Alliance as a E-RYT 200 hour and RYT 500 hour teacher. Currently, Leona has taken her practice online, offering weekly yoga and meditation classes in order to reach more people.
While following her passion for wellness, and facilitating others along their journey, Leona felt guided to learn more about the health benefits of meditation. She is now under the guidance of Peter Radcliff and Skillful Mind in order to delve deeper into the intricacies and techniques of Meditation.
Building communities and learning from others is what Leona loves to do most. She has a strong desire to share the many benefits of a regular meditation practice with the community. As a strong believer in the natural health and wellbeing and the power of the mind, Leona has explored many forms of meditation and spiritual practices from a range of cultures.
Leona knows from personal experience that meditation is beneficial for relaxation. It helps improve our focus and concentration. And it helps increase our compassion and kindness. Meditation is also an important part of the reflection and self-care process. We hope you will join us on our journey and look forward to seeing you at our next Meditation session that is both informative and practical.
Besides weekly Meditation classes, Leona also offers ongoing yoga classes, workshops, and health talks. Beginners are welcome as no experience is required, only a sincere desire to learn.
